The Ministry of Manpower, under the Manpower Development Assistance Scheme, had given an initial funding of approximately $1 million for the set up of SPAcademy By Raffles International and the development of training programmes which will lead to accreditation by internationally recognised institutions such as International Therapy Examination Council (ITEC) from the UK.

The ITEC programmes at SPAcademy By Raffles International seek to develop wellness specialists capable of administering spa treatments effectively, as well as equip spa management professionals, with the skills and knowledge to plan and operate spas profitably.
