NTUC has been in the forefront of IT training since April 1982. That was a time of rapid technological changes and the beginning of economic restructuring. In the commercial sector, companies were rapidly computerising their systems and processes. Our members were sent for all kinds of in-house computer training by their employers. Our union moved in sync with NTUC Computer Training Centre in its early days to promote its Basic IT Literacy Programme to companies and encouraged our members to pick up IT skills as well.
Today NTUC Computer Training Centre is an established & recognised brand name. I dare say it is one of the best training centres for workers, and its course fees are a steal for union members!
